Bead Pens

Check out the cool bead pens you can make. The pens themselves cost $8.00. Then you have to purchase the beads to match. There are different color pens and all different kinds of beads to pick from. I made these 2 just to try it. Only problem is that the ink refills are very small because they only have a little tiny area to fit into. Therefore you have to change them often and purchase refills often.

Taffy and Liberty cuddle up

I was sitting on the couch the other night, holding Taffy. Liberty came up and wanted affection too. She shows no aggression toward Taffy at all. If anything she almost acts like Taffy is her baby. Our neighbors dog got into the house one day and found Taffy's cage and I could not get him away from it. He was going to tear the cage apart and eat Taffy. Guess it is the difference in the dogs. Thank goodness that Liberty and Taffy get along. I would never leave the two alone, but they always give each other a kiss on the nose when they get the chance.

Pictures of the Girlscout Halloween Party

This is a picture of Katelyn dressed up as Sally from Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. Katelyn looked really good. She even had one girl had the party tell her to stop looking at her because it was giving her the creeps!

Hannah and Katelyn

Hannah came dressed up like her sister. She said her sister actually did her makeup and she was wearing her sister's clothing. She said her sister looks like this every day.

Devon

Girlscouts as cowgirls

Cowgirl Carma looks tuckered out

We had princesses, doctors and baseball players. We even had a appearance by Paris Hilton!

The girlscouts made a spiderweb

Several of the girls were given a roll of string and they were to toss it to the girl across from them. That girl was then to wrap it around herself and then toss it to someone else. This went on for some time until they had a rather large spider web.

They played games

The girls played a game where they had a few minutes to look at this tray full of items and then they had to try and remember what was on the tray.

The girlscouts bobbed for apples

Jamie really takes bobbing for apples serious

Devon goes in for her apple

I hope Ms. Johna didn't hurt herself holding back Hannah's hair

I never knew Hannah was so talented!

A few more of our bobbers

Belle's apple even matches her gown!!

This cheerleader really went right after that apple!!
Pilgrims probably were the ones that invented bobbing for apples

Jim's Seat

This here is a picture of the board that Jim is usually seated in front of at most every Saturday evening Church service. In the top of the photo you will see a monitor that shows what is happening on stage. Jim sets here and tapes everything that happens for both services on Saturday and this tape will then be put on the internet site, played at our service in the Elkhart theatre on Sunday and copies of the service will be sold in the bookstore.

Aaron performing at homecoming

Jim got some great shots of Aaron even though we were a long way from him at the homecoming game. Edwardsburg played against Buchanan and won. They also crowned the queen and king. The place was packed as always for the homecoming game. The kids all were dressed in blue and orange. Some wore tatoos and had their hair colored blue and orange.

Girl Scouts are selling a new line of items this year!

Don't worry, there are still going to be the normal girl scout cookies as always. They have just added a extra little treat for us this year and hopefully for years to come by introducing a line of snack items. I believe most everything in the line has nuts in it in some way or another. It all looks yummy, and its for a great cause. If you click on the picture you can get a closer look at the items and prices. The prices are better than in the stores and if they are anything like the cookies, they should be great tasting and fresh. The troops receive $.60 from every can they sell. Katie's involved in a new troop this year and we are starting from scratch. We are hoping that we can make enough from this to start being able to get our troop going and start teaching these young ladies what they can achieve in their lives. Cookie sales will start some time in January. If you are interested in the nuts, just call Katelyn.
Sale is over. If you ordered, they will be in sometime in the middle of November and I will collect from you when I deliver your order. Thanks everyone for ordering. Our troop really appreciates your support!
